ESTEBAN STEVEN ESCOBAR HONORED AT 20TH ANNUAL MMPA “NIGHT BEFORE THE OSCARS”


Esteban Steven Escobar Receives Certificates of Recognition from City of Beverly Hills, 
County and City of Los Angeles at the 20th Annual MMPA 
“Night before the Oscars … The Envelope Please…” one day before
Hollywood, CA, March 14, 2014 — Diversity News Publications, publisher of Diversity News Magazine
 from the Diversity News Publications Family of Companies is excited and thankful to announce that their
 own Esteban “Steven” Escobar was honored with certificates of recognition at the 20th Annual MMPA
“Night before the Oscars … The Envelope Please…” to benefit The MMPA Educational Scholarship Fund
 for student filmmakers held on March 1, 2014.
Steven Escobar received the following awards from City of Beverly Hills: The Diversity Award Certificate
of Recognition by the City of Beverly Hills City Council, County of Los Angeles by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Los Angeles and City of Los Angeles Certificate of Recognition signed by the
Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti for his participation and contributions to the
Multicultural Motion Picture Association (MMPA).
“I think it’s fantastic that Steven Escobar has been recognized by the City of Beverly Hills,
 the County of Los Angeles, the City of Beverly Hills Mayor John A. Mirisch and 
City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for his dedication, hard work and contribution
 to the MMPA. I am honored and proud to work with him and thrilled for him!”
said Hit singer/songwriter and recording artist Fawn.
The event included live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles and sumptuous Hors d’oeuvres including
 a lavish dessert table for the honorees, guests, and celebrity crowd. The event took place at
the Andaz Hotel, Top of the Strip, Panorama Room, Rooftop at 8401 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.

honor the difference, and appreciate the mix, we find harmony.” said Esteban “Steven” Escobar,
President & Executive Editor-In-Chief of Diversity News Magazine.

He continued, “I am humbled and want to congratulate the other honorees. Remember to keep working forward for many and many more accomplishments that need to be celebrated and recognized while we are alive. Also thank you to John A. Mirisch, Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills for attending and presenting the award to me. Thank you to Lili Bosse, Vice Mayor from the City of Beverly Hills and the rest of the council members from the City of Beverly Hills: William W. Brien M.D., Julian A. Gold M.D., and Nancy H. Krasne. Thank you to Eric Garcetti, Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Mitch O’Farrell, Councilmember 13 District of the City of Los Angeles and Zev Yaroslavsky, Supervisor, Third District of County of Los Angeles. Once again, I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Jarvee Hutcherson, Founder & President of the Multicultural Motion Picture Association for the amazing recognition and for reaching out to City and County politicians to recognize myself along with my media outlets for all my contributions.
